St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
Hi Lucy,

My partner and I are finishing work on an English-language guide to the Camino del Norte and Camino Primitivo that will be released next year by Cicerone. I'm not sure if it will be available in time for your trip, though.

Failing that, my favorite guide is issued by El Pais-Aguilar. It's in Spanish, but the maps are really intuitive and easy to follow. You don't really need to be able to read the text.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Hi Dave, do you mind letting me know which Caminos the spanish guide mentioned by you covers? I mean does it only cover the Camino Del Norte or the Camino Del Norte and the Camino Primitivo.

I am considering strolling from Bilboa along the Camino Del Norte and then ducking across the Camino Primitivo and I am looking for a guide book with maps which covers both caminos.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Stephen,

It covers both. I've used it on both routes and found it reliable in each case.

I use Alltrails a lot here in the US, in Iceland, on the Via Podiensis and a bit on the CF. Will it be useful on the Norte? For example, people here say the "warm up" from Biarritz to Irun (or...
