Hola,

Many of the visitors to this site are planning their pilgrimage to Santiago, but a few have already done the pilgrimage maybe even several times.

One of the good ways to prepare is of course the guidebooks. Have any of you any favorites? I did a search on Amazon and found close to 400 books on a search for "Santiago de Compostela" so there is quite a few to choose from.

Take a look at what Amazon.com has to offer here:

A merry Christmas from Santiago de Compostela,

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Guide Book Recommendations

Like JLK the one I would not go without is the CSJ guide but here are a couple of others worth having and in the case of John Brierly or the maps from the Lozano maybe even taking with you.
BRIERLY, John. A Pilgrims Guide to the Camino Frances - Findhorn Press 2003 - covering St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela - A recently written compact guide with maps, photos and information.
BRAVO LOZANO, Millan. A practical guide for pilgrims: the road to Santiago. - León: Editorial Everest SA, 5th ed. 1998. - 261 pp. with maps in a separate waterproof pocket. For reading before or after the camino though maybe take the maps with you.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
