I plan to walk the camino in sept 2015 (portugese) route
I'm planning to walk the Camino this sept (2015) with a group of friends. Our plan is to fly into Santiago and walk to Porto. Is this possible to walk backwards and how easy will it be to follow the markings. Do you know how many days it would take to walk the route and average kms per day. We only have 8 full days. Thanks, sharon

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
For earlier Forum posts re walking backwards on the Portuguese camino see this thread. It isn't that easy to find those arrows in reverse!
Happy planning and Bom caminho!

Probably easier than following the Norte in reverse on a bicycle! but if you have a guide book (Brierly has clear maps) and look for arrows - you should be fine - learn the Spanish for 'I'm following the Camino to Porto' and the locals will assist.

You can follow the blue arrows towards Fàtima. They are quite good according to Fátima pilgrims I met. Take a GPS track with you as well. The Fátima markings were a little bit worn out between Padrón and Caldas de Reis or if it was between Caldas de Reis and Pontevedra.
