Hello All - I’m JR from California and am planning my trek this fall, 2021. If all goes well, I should arrive in SJPP on 16/09. Like many others, I hope to find out why I’m drawn to this experience during the experience, although for now, I’m using a ‘0’ birthday as the rationale. Looking forward to meeting other pilgrims and sharing the adventure. Buen Camino!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Walking Northern Spain will remind you geographically of California - you’ll really appreciate why the Spanish settlers saw our home as the New Spain way back when. If you walk the hills and valleys of our state, you’ll be well-prepared for the path you’ll follow there (both mentally and physically!)

If you make it up towards Sacramento, give us a shout out and we’d be happy to meet up.

In California too, I used a "0" birthday as my rational in 2015, my first Camino CF, and I haven't stopped. I too booked my flight for Sep. My flight is to Lisbon, with a layover in Madrid, I will decide later where to get off, when I find out where I will be walking. I have my fingers crossed....

Hello JR! There’s a couple of APOC (American Pilgrims in the Camino) chapters in Northern California that got many of of us inspired and all set to walk the Camino. Such great fellowship with lots of group walks and forums and presentations of Camino experiences. Perhaps see if there is a chapter nearby where you live. You may need it upon your return for Camino withdrawal....Buen Camino! 👣

Hi JR. and welcome to the forum. I am from Perth in Western Australia.....won't be walking any Camino routes this year, but, thinking maybe sometime next year if our borders re-open for International travel. Hoping to get my first CoVid Vaccination next week. :)

Welcome !!

Projected date looks good, as you should be avoiding the later 2021-2022 respiratory diseases season.
