Hi, I'm English, female, middle-aged (!), I live in Germany, I also speak French and Spanish, but no Portuguese, and I'm setting off from Porto on Saturday 15th October. I hope to meet some nice people. Thanks for all the info in the forum, some of which looks very useful.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi and welcome!
I´m currently in Ponte de Lima. There are still lots of people on this route, most of them seem to be German speaking. You´re sure to enjoy!
Bom caminho

Hi Bright-Spark and Sue,
Thought I'd start on the 16th and enjoy the Algarve a few days, but the Caminho calls and I bus into Porto (staying at the Dix Hostel) then depart from the Cathedral morning of the 12th. Shooting for SDC in the 23rd.
Bom Caminho,
Arn

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Bright-Spark,
I'm currently between Barcelos and Ponte de Lima staying at the Casa da Dona Fernanda. It's about 12 KM from the Albergue Casa de Ricoleta.
Try to work this into your Caminho. With the heat, it's a good stop before Ponte de Lima. You will not regret it. Dona Fernando and family feed you more than you can eat, homemade wine to drink, a well appointed dorm with modern conveniences. I would vacation here if I wasn't driven to SDC.
Bom Caminho,
Arn

I would like to walk the river route in Tui next month. I can see on google maps exactly where it starts, but it seems a bit overgrown. Has anybody used this route this year or last year...
Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
Hi I have searched everywhere to see if there is a luggage service from Lisbon to Porto. I know there is from Porto to Santiago, but Lisbon ???. Thanks for any info.
