Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

G'day there cobber and welcome.
It appears that you will be a source of good advice for our winter walkers.
Obviously, your number one tip is that us blokes should grow a decent beard.
I'd better start now if I'm going to do a winter camino next year.
But I've heard some gals don't like kissing a bloke with a beard.
I'd appreciate your experience and advice on this important matter.
Regards
Gerard

It's on Camino Frances in January, right after Monjarin. The snow last week here was much worse though.

Welcome, Ninja boy! It's probably a good thing you are planning a winter camino as I don't know how well you'd manage in the heat of summer! ☺

I'm walking in all seasons ...in summer the beard gives great shade :)

And welcome @camino.ninja !
You've walked 'a few' caminos? I'll say. And not in the summertime, right? You've joined just in time to share your wisdom with the winter walking crowd. And Gerard.;)

Thanks @VNwalking ...I'm walking all seasons ...but winter is special and amazing :)

@gerardcarey I never planned on kissing all the girls on the Camino so it's not really a problem. And there might even be some who won't because of the beard ...clearly I haven't met them. But there might as well be some who wants just because of the beard.
If it happens your beard will grow out looking awesome I'll recommend getting a walking stick ...it's also usefull for keeping the wolf's at distance in the mountains. And some people even use it for walking.

I am reassured! Can you explain/show please how it gives you shade in the summer?
(You do realize that you are “exploding” this forum!?!)

I'm sorry @pelerine ...how my beard gives shade in summer will remain a secret only known by those I've walked with in summer :)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
