Sorry to bother u with this... Doing Camino Frances with my 2 kids. Arriving from South Africa to Paris CDG. I have been trying to book tickets on tvg but to no avail.... Going crazy! It makes the booking but rejects the transaction AFTER my bank cleared it!! Will be arriving Airport CDG at 10h15. How do I get tickets to Biarritz or Bayonne or Bordeaux? So many great specials for early bookings.. But you can't get it done!!! Help please!

snijmann,

What date are you trying to book ? The problem may be that either the date is too far in the future or that you hold a foreign credit card or wish the tickets sent to your foreign home address.

You can see schedules up to 3 months in advance at this SNCF (French Nationl Rail Road ) link. http://www.voyages-sncf.com/. You NEED a reservation for any TGV train and it is cheaper to book the ticket in advance. However you can also book everything with a live clerk at the station the day of departure if you wish.

Since you mention tickets to Biarritz or Bayonne or Bordeaux I assume that you are going to Saint Jean Pied de Port as a final destination. In the current schedule four times a day you can take a SNCF TGV (Tres Grand Express) from CdG Paris 2 airport to BORDEAUX and then connect with another TGV to Bayonne and a TER line 62 train from Bayonne to SJPdP.

Another way is a TGV train from the Paris Gare Montparnasse to Bayonne and then a regional TER line 62 train from Bayonne to SJPdP. Generally there are 4 TGV trains to Bayonne from Paris Montparnasse each day and many TER line 62 trains from Bayonne to SJPdP.

Here is the CURRENT line 62 TER timetable for trains from Bayonne to SJPdP from February 1, 2013 until July 6, 1013 >> http://telechargement.ter-sncf.com/Images/Aquitaine/Tridion/62-AFFICHE-2013_tcm-11-42307.pdf. All 62 TER trains do NOT run every day.

Please feel free to PM me for further help.

Courage and Buen camino,

Margaret Meredith
