Hiking towels [ Australia ]

Aldi has brilliant hiking towels for sale at the moment . $14 odd for a reasonably lightweight, fast drying towel ,80cm x 130cm , compete with its own wrap strap .
I tried one out yesterday , it drys hairy old me very quickly and dries itself even faster .
Comes in a range of designer colours including grungy grey

@dougfitz I find this information useful because they only have products for a very short time and sell out quickly. So I welcome the heads up. A few years ago I bought a really good quality merino t-shirt there for a fraction the price they are available elsewhere. Unfortunately they have not had the same ones back since, but if they did I would want to know!

Yes of course it is . Typing whilst distracted , my apologies and thanks for the heads up .
It should have been expressed in cm , I've amended it thus .

Doug , it's a good buy , that's why I mentioned it . Not everyone may be aware of it , is there harm in wanting to share a good product available for a short time ? I would call this trying to help fellow Pilgrims .

What a wonderful thing to do and much more needed I think. It's great to hear about opportunities as they arrise. We have Lidl and Aldi In the UK and I use them all the time for bargains and some good stuff.

I have got some of their 100% Marino clobber and I must say it is cheap and very good quality (no doubt someone will be along soon to disagree). Hey ho life is too short

You just keep on sharing, these opportunities are very short lived in the world of Lidl and Aldi, sometimes just a day or so. Great job and thank you.

He originally had it in mm, then edited to cm when he realized his mistake.

And I see nothing wrong with posting this information. Should we not alert fellow forum members to good deals when we find them? I learned about down throw blankets and merino wool shirts at Costco this way.

I'm up for any shopping tips for Aussies as so many gear posts are about stores in the UK, USA, Canada etc. Sizing is so different, and postage and returns so expensive, that I will only buy what I can try on, so recommendations for products in Australia are very welcome.

Though I am an Aussie, others might be interested in this. A towel tip I read many years ago on, this forum I think. I now carry a towel that I made of "baby muslin". Cut the muslin to whatever size you want - mine is a reasonable bath towel size and hem. It's light and dries superfast. The only disadvantage is that it can be cool in the winter.

Why not spruik Aldi. Katmandu's prices for travel towels are outrageous. or you can get one in Spain at Sportzone (I think) for about 4 euro.
