el Correo Gallego reports that:

The Department of Tourism has detected 42 hot spots, "Which produce higher concentrations of pilgrims." Most are on the Camino Frances, including O'Cebreiro, Triacastela, Samos, Sarria, Palas de Rei, Melide, Arzúa and O Pino.
To avoid problems, the management company of the Plan Xacobeo will create six new shelters, tents, bathrooms and enhance the promotion of the rest of the path of the French, because it absorbs eighty percent of the pilgrims”
In addition to creating new hostels in Melide, Samos, Seixas and Boimorto, on the Camino Francés, they will also promote the other routes: the Camino del Norte, que pasa por Ribadeo, Barreiros, Lourenzá, Abadín, Vilalba y Friol. The la Vía de la Plata, que discurre por A Gudiña, Riós, Cea, Ourense,Lalín y Silleda, y el Camino Portugués from Tui, Redondela, Pontevedra, Portas, Valga y Padrón: Camino Portugués por la Costa, que discurre por A Guarda, O Rosal, Oia, Baiona, Nigrán, Vigo y Redondela.
Finally, temporary facilities at three points of Camino Ingles (Carral, Orders and Abegondo), three of the Finisterre Muxía (Mazar, and Negreira Finisterra) and four of the primitive, Fonsagrada, Baleira, Lugo and Guntín.
Although there will be no mascot this Holy Year there will be merchandising with pins and other products that serve to remind one of this event as well as a minted coin. In addition, a special stamp for the Holy Year 2010 will be issued and the Codex Calixtinus will be translated into Galician.

I am wondering if these things were started earlier this year or they won't be finished and ready until Holy Year is over. :?: :?:
I would think the Coin and stamp should be ready now....and hopefully the new facilities are well underway.
