Time of past OR future Camino
2006 to date: Over 21 Caminos. See signature line
Oh I've got a big problem!
I'm between Caminos and staying in Wales for a few weeks.
I start again next week with a new group.
I washed my New Balance shoes and THEY SHRUNK! :cry: :cry: :cry:

Does anyone know if there is a place I can either order and have them shipped QUICK to Pamplona or if there is a shop in Pamplona where I can buy shoes?

If not, I'm open to suggestions.

::crying:::
I can't believe I did this...

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Annie,

there should be walking shops in towns and cities of any size in Wales (and also villages in the walking/climbing areas). If you google walking shops for the area you're staying in

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Should your new shoes-hikers-boots prove intractable to your walking plans do try and make it as far as Santo Domingo de Calzada, yes the one of chicken fame-the same chicken story occurs on the Portuguese Camino but that's not the point. In Santo Domingo there is a modern albergue and many evenings it is visited by a very saintly person. I don't know his name, he has long dark hair collected in the back. He does marvelous and wondrous manipulations, bandaging, and taping of sore feet, knees, and ankles. The next day he is often to be seen along the Camino on his motorcycle, checking up on the people he took care of the evening before-the Camino has many surprises and kind people, he is especially needed and kind and while I sincerely hope you will not need him, do know that he is there.

Can't you find New Balance in Wales? Annie, learn a hard lesson : don't wash your shoes ever again! Joking apart, maybe you could go to a shoe mender and see if there is no way that you can have them stretched? Anne
