I am stuck in Valenca all by myself with what I think is a really bad case of bronchitis. Possibly walking pneumonia. The woman who ran my albergue in Rubiaes brought me to Valenca and told me there are lots of doctors and hospitals in Tui. I have contacted my travel insurance via email and they said i can go anywhere and they will reimburse me. The problem is I can't seem to find a medical center or hospital in Tui that is open on weekends (when I look online). This doesn't make sense to me. I'm not the best at problem solving at the moment so I would appreciate anyone's help. Taking a bus to another city really should be a last resort since I'm so sick. I hope this all makes sense.

I feel for you since I experience the same medical problems on my first Camino in 2009. After 2 weeks I could go no longer and stopped in Burgos and took a bus back to Madrid. I was fortunate enough to stay at a BnB and the family-run place gave me a room and stayed there for 7 days taking cough syrup and eventually returning home. You will have to make a decision to go to one of the major city closes to you and recover. The best you are in my prayers julia.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Wishing you a speedy and safe recovery X

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you guys for your best wishes. I am still in Tui. The doctor wants me to stay here at least one more night. The ladies at Ideas Peregrinas have been wonderful. I am blessed to be stuck in such a beautiful city and hostel. But I am disappointed and it's very hard for me to be this sick alone in a foreign country, to be honest. I am having great difficulty breathing and the medicine I need to help me breathe gives me tachycardia. I just feel like a complete mess.

Oh Julia so sorry to hear but please listen to the good advice.
When in doubt go back to the doc or pharmacy.
Good to hear you are in a nice place!
