Hospitaleros wanted at Murias

Albergue Las Aguedas at Murias is looking for hospitaleros who have walked the Camino. You must speak some Spanish I think, as the owners do not speak English. I really love this place, about 5 k past Astorga.

Hospis can volunteer wherever they want, but beware> This is a for-profit place, delighted to employ workers without having to pay anything.
It may be a delightful place with lovely owners, but don't be exploited.

All I know is that it is a very sweet place and the hospitalero seems happy. I believe he volunteered for a week or ten days and now receiving room, board, free wifi, and some stipend. I think it's worth asking. You will be serving pilgrims. The dinner was great as was the breakfast. The place is clean with a bar right there.

Another advantage is don't have to pay APOC any huge fee for joining or for training (which I could not afford. ). They will train you there.

To me it is worth looking into.
