I am planning my Camino May 2017, I'm planning on booking hostel beds before I arrive in Spain.
As anyone used Onlypilgrims.com to reserve hostel Accomodation.
Thanks

I've just had a look at there website, doesn't look to bad and there seems to be quite a choice. When I heard people talking on my journey the only website I heard being discussed was Booking.com. I'm sure they're much of a muchness.
Is there any reason (apart from peace of mind) why you would want to book everything through?

I used OnlyPilgrims multiple times during the last two weeks of my Camino Frances in May. Decent selection, and you can actually pay in advance using PayPal, which might give some additional comfort that you'll really have a bed waiting. However, like Waka said above, with the possible exception of the larger cities and any festivals going on, reserving so far in advance is not recommended. Several days in advance at most should be fine. PM me for any additional info.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
See my answer in your other thread. Buen Camino, SY

I'm walking to Pamplona with friends, from there to Logrona I'm walking on my own, so feel more secure knowing I've somewhere booked. A few of the hostels when I've contacted them directly regarding bookings have not responded. I've booked a few with booking.com and a couple direct with the hostel. there's just a couple more I need to cover.

Thanks that's really helpful. I do feel I'd be more relaxed walking knowing accommodation was booked. I allowing 7 full days to walk SJPDP to Logrona. So feel I will have plenty of time.

Hi Bettyann

Since you've got so many reservations, don't forget to carry copies of your booking/reservation numbers, and numbers to the hotels/albergues. Sometimes paperwork gets lost, and sometimes you may need to call to confirm a booking, or cancel one. On that note, remember if you can't make a reservation to cancel, especially at the albergues, so the bed can be given to someone else.
Buen Camino!

not sure if this is any help but once I did the same .... Booked a number of nights ahead..... It turned out a bit disappointing as the places were not that nice.... Not as nice as the ones I passed nearby...... I also found that it was not as sociable as its nice to stay in the places that your Camino buddies are staying in.
