Hostel in Valenca

I am planning to stay overnight in Valenca and start my pilgrimage only the following day. I understand I will not be "a proper" pilgrim yet and cannot use the pilgrims' albergue that night. Is there any hostel in Valenca where I could spend my first night in Portugal or is better to get to Tui and use a private albergue there?

If there's a free bed by 18:00 or so, pilgrims starting the Caminho are allowed to stay. That's usual in all Albergues.
