I'm due to arrive in Leon on the Wednesday in Holy Week. I'd like to pause and attend the sacred triduum. Can anyone recommend a hotel well placed for the cathedral ? I'm currently having a rest day in Burgos staying at the El Cid. Excellent value at €70

my favourite hotel is La Colegiata, near teh cathedral and part of the San Isidoro complex. The prices are quite reasonable too.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Many thanks for the replies and suggestions. I have a friend back home checking out availability for your choices and he says things seem to be filling up quickly. I'll see how much progress I've made by Friday and get somewhere booked

The group I'm walking with has ended up in a hostal called the Albany. Immediately next to the cathedral so I'm guessing I'll be needing the ear plugs tonight. But at €30 for a private room with a bath I'm happy so far

I was reading somewhere that some of us are doing night walks. As a natural born night owl I would love to do such walk too. Of course I can choose stage by myself (CF). But was wondering if any...
