I'll have an overnight layover in Lisbon on my way home. Arriving 5pm, departing 10am the next morning, so I'll have a few hours in the evening to look around.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive hotel that will be central for walking and dining, and also easy to get from/to the airport?

I'd like to spend less than 75 euros, and would prefer ensuite, but a shared bath would be okay.

Thanks

I stayed at The Keep booked via Bookings.com. It was nice. I payed €40 in 2015 don't think they are so much more expensive today. 1 km from center I walked there from the bus from the airport (stayed there when I arrived for Camino Portuguese).

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out.

Pensao prata is a family run, clean, not fancy place in central Lisbon. It is about a ten minute walk to the cathedral, and it is also very easy to get to the airport from there. The Lisbon airport is very very close to the historic center of Lisbon, probably dangerously so. But it makes for a very quick trip into town!

The walking tour I made up and posted can be done in about two hours if you don’t stop much. https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/my-walking-tour-of-lisbon.7257/

We're staying at the Lisbon Angel's Hostel for 3 nights in less than two weeks. It has really good reviews, in a good location and had a couple of forum recommendations, too. Our private double room was 35€/night, but has a shared bath. I've also seen The Poet's hostel recommended by forum members.

America Diamonds Hotel, Lisbon. The airport bus stops almost outside the hotel. The same bus stop takes you downtown. Check out the website. Cheers
