Time of past OR future Camino
(2013)
My wife and i are starting the Camino in mid May. Since we are 70 years old :D we are doing it easy (about 9-10 days) and would like to stay in hotels (rather than albergues) along the way. Our intermediate stops are: Morgade-Portomarin-Ventas de Naron-Palas de Rei-Melide-Ribadiso-Salceda-Rua-Lavacolla-Santiago.
Do you have recommendations on hotels in those sites?
thanks a bunch

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Juan,

To begin your search for hotel accommodation along the Camino from Sarria west use this Mundicamino webpage >> http://www.mundicamino.com/ruta.cfm?p=H ... Hospedajes. The information can be automatically translated into English by clicking on the translate tab. For locations further west click on the orange arrow to the right of their page.

Although I generally stay in pilgrim albergues a favorite restaurant spot of mine just east of Palas de Rei is La Cabana. They also offer a very good rate for rooms for pilgrims. Here is their web >> http://www.complejolacabana.com/.

Buen Camino to you both,

Margaret Meredith

Re: Hotels in the Sarria-Santiago part --> here

Hello.
For other accomodations than pilgrims refuges try here.
There you will find a lot of accomodations along the Camino from Sarría to Santiago.
Not only pilgrims refuges but also Hostales (small and cheap) and low budged hotels with their home pages and of course Hotels!
The list is written in German but you will be able to decipher it.
If nesseassary I will assist you!
Buen Camino
Jochen
