As I’m starting to get some reservations in line for my November camino on CF, just wondering how difficult it is to find a private room after October 31.
Would like to stay in both albergues and private rooms.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
It shouldn't be difficult. Usually hotels and pensions have other tourist business so open all year round. Of course if there is a local festival or event, you might have difficulty on a particular date.

Thank you molly. That is reassuring.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Generally very easy to stay in hotels right along the Frances. Sure, some places are closed, but the many that are still open are much cheaper than they are at other times of the year. Just check they've got heating.

Thank you joker for your response. I was just a little concerned about what’s available in a month that has many places closing. I can’t walk at any other time due to scheduling issues so November it is. I also discovered nothing open on the Napoleon route so I’m going through valcarlos where there are accommodations.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Please be aware that the Napolron route is closed from November 1 to April 1. There are accommodations in Valcarlos open in November but no accommodations at all on the Valcarlos route between Valcarlos and Roncesvalles. There are only the camino and the route N135; both have many switchbacks.

Thank you for this suggestion. Since I’m starting to walk on the 26th of October, I just need to decide if it’s worth the struggle of going the Napoleon route to Roncesvalles in one day. I’ve done it twice. Beautiful but difficult. Never been on the valcarlos route.
