How can we walk from Bilbao to Camino Francés

Thank you for the information about the proximity of Portugalete. That may be an option for us. My daughter and I arrive October 4th at Bilbao (couldn't find flight to Pamplona from Texas). Since our intention is to do the camino Frances, we are looking for a camino connecting Bilbao with the camino Frances. We prefer to walk instead of taking a bus. Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

@trecile, the second link has a graph that would certainly encourage me to take the bus from Bilbao to Pamplona. If the OP does decide to take the route, please send a photo once you reach the peak after a location named Paralacuesta. I do understand these graphs concertina the terrain to fit the picture, but still...rather you than me!
