How to arrive Le Puy from the airport ?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thanks for sharing your photos mimie... they brought back so many recent memories. You had a much finer day with good views for Cruz de Ferro, but I was lucky to have much finer weather for O'Cebreiro.

Sorry I can't help with the airport for Le Puy. I had landed in Paris and took the train from there, via a transfer in Clermont-Ferrand. I think you can get closer trains from Lyon or St Etienne but I am not sure.
Margaret

I flew into St. Etienne, took a bus to the train station (don't get off at the first stop and that train station!), then the train to Le Puy.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Last year I flew easyjet from London to Lyon intending to catch a train the next day but when I walked out the airport there was a mini bus going to st etienne, which I took (51 euros!). When I arrived I went to the train station and found that a train was leaving for Le Puy in 5 minutes so I caught it and arrived in the evening.

hoi,
I allready ordered my tickets for springtime 2009.
Brussels - Lyon returnticket with BrusselsAirlines 138.50 euro
On the airport I hope to find a bus or a train to the railwaystation Lyon Part Dieu.
From there is nearly every our a train to Saint Etienne 10 euro, from where I want to start a part of the Camino.
I have the intention to walk to Conques or Livinac Le Haut.
From there I have to find a bus back to Le Puy from where there are trains to Lyon.
Thanks for help to make this section-puzzle compleet and ... "see you there maybe" !!

We arrive from Paris after a day in the air at Lyon, St Exupery at 8.30 am.

What is the best method to get to le Puy.

Many thanks ,
David

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Use the bus at the airport to get to the train station. Go to the second train station; the first one will not get you there. If you speak good French, the bus driver can direct you, however, we did not, and had to take a taxi from the first bus station to the second.
