How to explain the infinite

William Garza

I didn't disappear
I was present for all of it

The stars disappeared and the light came to be
Distractions they were
Misdirection...and me
And the bloody insurrections inside
Were the tide to set me free
How do you explane to those who have not..been

The great border need be crossed to define
Changing fate
Changing faith
You have to invite me in
Says the great..change

The light carries on even after sleep
Even onto the infinite
Rare and beautiful we exist
In and out of the infinite

But
Only with eyes to see and hearts to hear
Ide give anything...to hear one more time
The universe

How to explain the infinite
Innocence and its seasons
Rebirth and return

I cannot explain the infinite
Unless....unless the flame is small and the sails begun to fall

Infinite stillness comes to be
The thoughts that cease in me
The distance of it all
Bereft of earth
We fall

We live through it all

How do you explain the infinite? traveler..to someone who cannot understand at all?
You
Who have been....
