I am starting the Camino del Norte in Irun in mid September. How is the weather in October on the primitivo?
Hi, @world walker, and welcome to the forum!

Many years ago I walked the Primitivo in early October. I have since walked several times in spring and summer, which I prefer, but the October camino was nice. I was lucky to not have much rain, and there was snow on the mountains, especially around Tineo, but no snow ever fell on me while I was walking. Even all those years ago, there were plenty of pilgrims, and I expect this year you will also have plenty of company. I am sure that statistically there is a greater chance of rain than in summer, but maybe you will be lucky. I hope to be on the Primitivo in a few weeks’ time, and I promise I will not wish all the rain ahead to October. :p

I did this 4 years ago, the weather was fine, just a bit cool and drizzling on the Primitivo towards the end, but fine otherwise.its a great Camino, not as crowded as some of the others. You will enjoy it!
