Thank you for everyones help these last few months. I'm heading to San Francisco for 2 days and my flight to Paris leaves on Sunday. I am very anxious/excited/nervous. I also can't believe how loving and generous my friends and family have been, I've been teary eyed all week with the beautiful gifts and support and love I have been recieving. I have gotten so much motivation from them.

One suggestion:

Slowllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

No rush...your mind will document the entire trip if you take the time to absorb it all in. Pictures just trigger memories.

The Way of Le Puy is a fabulous route. Take care of yourself the first ten days -- till Conques really. It's all in ups and downs. Gorgeous countryside. See if you can stop at the Haltes de Compostelle. You will find there a great hospitality and will be able to meet a lot of folks as the meals are usually communal.

Bonne route! Bon chemin :)

Go for it, Geoff! And give my love to Le Domaine Sauvage which I approached in the middle of a thunderstorm.
You'll be "lovin' it!"

I walked with Geoff several weeks in France, and I can report he left SJPP headed for Santiago on 1 Oct. He had lightened his pack a good bit at the SJPP post office. He's doing well, persevering every day and making friends in every town.

Go go Geoff!

I am Happy to say I arrived in Santiago on November 10th and recieved my Compostelle on the 11th. Total weight loss for 11 weeks of hiking was 50lbs. Kits it was a pleasure to walk with you and I can't wait to hear about your upcoming travels.
