Calling pilgrims walking from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago this year.

Every year the Confraternity of Saint James publishes an updated guide to the Camino Francés. It provides the most up to date information on the route and accommodation of any guide. It is a great resource and many pilgrims walk the route using only this guide. Others find it an invaluable complement to other guide books they may have purchased.

The CSJ is a not for profit organisation established to help pilgrims and promote the Camino. This guide is produced by pilgrims for pilgrims.

This year I am editing the CSJ Guide to the Camino Francés. In addition to walking the route I need the help of a small group of other pilgrims to use the guide and email me any new accommodation or other changes they encounter which is not listed in the guide.

If you can help please email me and I’ll send you a copy of the guide.

There is for me personally a rather defined line between the two P's...... Professional versus Passionate

"Professional" is a service which under deliver or speculate in the constant flow of new peregrinos everyday. Main goal is clearly to extract maximum profit.

"Passionate" is a service with a sound economical approach.....but with a heart and/or positive intent for how they run choose to run their operation.

I hope there is some help in the guide to distinguish where to find the latter in the magnitude of albuerges especially.

I personally bummed out many a time without proper knowledge how to come about.

My positive experiences will stay in my heart forever....

Hi, my wife and are starting out on the 6th July - we'd be happy to help.

Cheers

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thanks to every one I have more than enough walking editors and updaters now.

Blaster - if you are "Tony" thanks for emailing me on Sunday. I'm sorry for the delay in replying - I've been preoccupied with helping a group of 4 pilgrims who rowed from Dublin to A Coruna in a wood and canvass boat they made themselves!

To be honest I've been inundated with offers of help and there will be no need for me to disturb your pilgrimage with work updating the guide.

Buen Camino

John
