walking every day for the rest of my life
would we still see the "first flush of spring"? You know - blossoms on trees, leaves just appearing, some fields still brown, others already green. Or would everything already be totally green as is summer?
starting point Dax, Pamplona a week later.....

no need to start in April to catch the flowers then!
 
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
We started the Camino once in mid-May, the 17th. There were flowers everywhere, the storks were busy feeding their young, everything was nice and fresh. We did have a lot of rain though, for the first 3 weeks. Anne
 
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
