If you’re near Santiago now, what are you wearing?

I leave in 30 hours for a short 100 km Camino. I’ve been planning this for a while and was anticipating temperature of 45-65 degrees. Now the weather network is saying I can expect 55-75+ degrees.

So, if you’re in the vicinity of Santiago, what are you wearing? Shorts? Short sleeves? Do I still need a fleece? And can I swap out the sleeping bag for a lightweight liner and blanket?

I planned for one type of weather, and it looks like I’ll be dealing with something else. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I agree with SY - I'm wearing fleece, pants, socks and shoes in the morning, shorts and sandals from lunchtime until around 7pm, and then warmer clothes again until bedtime. Galicia is the land of layers :). It would be wise to plan for the overnight lows (since it can still be that cold in the early morning and the sun doesn't rise until 8:40am and then takes a while to actually warm up the air), but bring shorts for the warmth of mid-day.

Hope that helps...?? Enjoy all the planning and Buen Camino!
