Rent a house in Santiago (1 month minimum)
300m from the cathedral and around the corner from the fresh food market in Santiago. Perfect place to tele commute from (1GB symmetrical connection).

In Santiago & sick of the pilgrim's menu?

If the thought of yet another ensalada mixta is not appealing to you, head for Asian Express on Rua Franco (walk away from the cathedral.) It will be on your left shortly before you get to a very busy street. They serve Turkish & Thai food. I had the doner kebab meal every time I went & it was GOOD. My friends had some of the Thai selections & they raved about those too.

I don't remember the name of the Thai restuarant I went to in Santiago but it is probably the same and I thought the food was good, the prices reasonable and it was a welcome change from plates heaping with french fries.

I had the same feeling...

I sampled the Thai one day, the Italian the next and the Chinese the following one.

Any other suggestions?
