From Arles to Santiago - Anyone have any citations, book recommendations, URL's, advice, or anything?
There seems to be a book called "Arles to the Pyrenees" but I can't order it because their web shopping cart doesn't work. Does anyone know an ISBN number?
Actually I'm hoping to start closer to Montpellier, in Southern France, but can't find any info on how to do it. My plan is pretty basic - fly to Paris with a light pack, train to Montpelier, look for the trail and start walking towards Santiago. It seems pretty easy to register as a pilgrim and use refugios in Spain but so far I've found only a howling silence on doing those things in Southern France.
The review of the book above says that this route: " cross[es] the Pyrenees at the Somport Pass and enters Spain to become the Camino Aragone". Anyone know what the Camino Aragone is?
