Hi

I will be doing the VLDP for the first time starting at the end of May and ending around the middle of July. Can anyone assist with the following info:
1. I hope to spend a day or two in Sevilla before heading off. Can anyone suggest some reasonably priced accomodation there?
2. What sort of weather conditions should I expect on the way? Should I expect warm / hot weather in the south and cooler / cold / wet weather in the north?

Your comments will be appreciated

Hi - there are lots of hostals in Sevilla. Try to get on in the barrio Santa Cruz which is near the Cathedral - I think a forum member stayed in the hostal Sierpes and thought it was ok - but there are lots of others listed. The bus from the airpiort will drop you at the Cathedral.

I think Omar answered your question about weather in the other posting. May will be lovely walking out of Sevilla - I´d plan for hot days and cool evenings :)

Buen Camino

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Last year I stayed in the Hostal Cordoba, not far from the Cathedral. A single with shared bathroom was 25 euros. The owners do not speak English, but their daughter, who sometimes attends reception speaks English quite well.

I am in Sevilla just now. On Friday night I met up with a couple who replied to my request on http://www.couchsurfing.com and they brought me to some nice tapas bars and the on to where there was show which was different.
Hostal Sierpes is quite good, clean, the staff are friendly and effecient. I paid 35 per night for a room with a shower. But is it easy to get lost in these streets?
Last night and this morning it rained quite a lot.
Big cities are not my thing! I prefer the country.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
