Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
Interesting how going for a long walk (and not even *that* long by camino standards) is cause for concern. Then, shock horror, it turns out the guy has done it before. Who in their right mind would walk for hundreds of kilometres, and more than once? No wonder he is being assessed by medical professionals.

(OK, he does sound perhaps a bit unstable - it's always a good idea to let family know when you are going off for a big walk, but the tenor of this article suggests the guy is crazy and amazing at the same time. Like most of us!!)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Oh boy. Embarrassing... Yes, there is the issue of not telling anyone his plans, but there is definitely a view coming through the article and comments within it that he must be unstable to walk that far - a mere 360km... I read the other day that an estimated 200 people walked the entire Te Araroa trail (3000km) last year. Madness! Clearly our medical profession has its work cut out!

I drove from Chch to Oumaru and back last July and I spent the whole time thinking what a pretty walk that would be. I wish new Zealand had albuergues every 15 km - I would go all the time!
