I figured that this article might best fit into the Via de la Plata / Sanabres forum, although it covers a lot more than that:

Many forum members will know José Almeida Rodríguez as the hospitalero who welcomed them to the donativo albergue in Tábara. He is also the President of the Zamoran Camino Association, and he is behind the initiative to re-open a traditional route - the Camino Zamorano Portugues.

If you are interested to know about the state of the camino as it emerges from the COVID-19 crisis, the challenges for small albergues to comply with hygiene regulations, the progress (or lack thereof) in establishing an albergue in Almendra del Pan (in the first stage of the Zamorano Portugues), and other topics, this is a very worthwhile article.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Thanks for sharing. A good opportunity to brush up your Spanish!

i remember staying at his Albergue in Tabara. One of the highlights of my Camino.
