Irun to Burgos

Hello! Has anyone done the Tunnel route from Irun to Santo Domingo Calzada/Burgos using the alternative route to Burgos at the split in Estavillo? My brother and I are considering this for our next camino this coming summer.

Just this right now : I was quite ambiguous about it... (whether I liked it or not). It seems that the other way (from Pueblo de Arganzon) to Santo Domingo has one very beautiful day, but the second one rather dull...

I am completing some more information about the Puebla - Burgos section and can send this to you.

Perhaps the way you want to do is the "Via de Bayona" from Bayonne to Burgos.
