Is Eroski getting out of date?

Speaking to some Spanish pilgrims this summer, one of them said that Eroski is becoming out of date because apparently there was a member of staff who was paid to keep it up to date, but now that person has been made redundant. Not sure exactly who was paying them (maybe the Eroski supermarket chain marketing budget?). Anyway, I thought I would put it out there to see if people are starting to find the Eroski website pages are getting out of date?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

For quite a while, I find Gronze much more updated, factual and practical than eroski's page. Years ago, Eroski was the best, but now things have changed, in my opinion, and gronze.com is the best option.

In any case, I use several pages whenever I start planning caminos, mostly

gronze.com
caminodesantiago.me (best English forum, and very agile)
godesalco.com

with those resources, you can pretty much manage.

Buen Camino!

I like Eroski for the route notes giving descriptions of the terrain, local history and so on. Most of that will not quickly go out-of-date. Because they only list albergues and not private accommodation I look for that sort of information on the Gronze website which seems to be updated more often but has less background detail. Put the two websites together and you get a pretty decent guide.

This guy, Gronze (not his real name) really deserves some kind of homage. I guess his webpage demands a lot of time, and it is just a personal project. When some years ago I walked the Piedmont Way, I discovered that his description and recommendations were the best, even over the printed and supported by companies that sell pricey stuff. And, surprisingly, his Camino guide is so good that he had managed to jump over the language barrier.
He apparently has been trying to make some bucks by associating with some reservation agencies, but you know this is not easy.

Yes this is exactly what people were telling me. This time my amiga and I split it between us - I had Gronze downloads, and she had Eroski. Going in and out of towns we really needed Eroski in places. But Gronze all the way for accommodation. There was one point where both failed and we relied on Huellas [footprints:p].
