I just used the link at the top of the El Camino Frances page to take a look at the camino guide by John Brierley. the link says the guide is sold out. Is it possible to get this guide in Spain along the camino or are there other sites I should be looking at? Perhaps the confraternity's site?

thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Certainly look at the CSJ site. Ivar will not get a commission but the CSJ is worth checking in case they have any left.

You will not get it on the way though you may be able to find the Everest - Practical Guide for Pilgrims, though the book is large the loose maps are good and light.

Hi,
I don't know where you live, but if you live in a major city you could try the Spain Tourist Office. I bought the Brierley guide and a week later went to the STO to check out what they had on the Camino, they gave me a plastic package with maps and a guide book with color pictures, cultural information, altitudes along the way, along with info on albergues, hostels, hotels, and restaurants, its almost an exact copy of the Brierley guide! I hope this helps you and others.

Buen Camino,
Tony in New York City
