My partner and I are flying from Australia via Croatia to either Lisbon or Porto to attend a friends wedding in Galicia. I would love to walk for 4 or 5 days on the Camino and wondered which part in Portugal or Spain was the most scenic and "easiest" as a trial run. Happy to organise our own luggage etc and to stay at small guesthouses or the like. Also thinking whether the Camino Finisterre might be the way to go. Would appreciate any advice. Many thanks SusieM

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi and welcome to the forum @SusieM

It really depends how many km you can walk comfortably each day, but 4-5 days should be enough to cover the last 100km into Santiago on any of the routes. Unless you prefer it, you can also sleep in albergues and meet other pilgrims there. As for which one is the most scenic way, there opinions differ wildly ;-)

Sarria>Santiago on the Camino Frances is the busiest one, but also the one with the best infrastructure.
Walking Santiago/Finisterre/Muxia is certainly another option, with a lovely ending at the sea.

And then there are the last parts of the Via de la Plata, the Camino Ingles, the Camino Portuguese, the Camino ...

You are spoiled for choice here ;-) See also: https://www.gronze.com/todos-los-caminos

As a trial run, to experience the camino, and to meet others you can chat with about the camino, I would say go with the Camino Finisterre.

I would recommend Santiago-Fisterra-Mixia over a stretch anywhere from Porto to Santiago.
