Time of past OR future Camino
2016
Just finished my 4th Camino. I traveled from the US and walked Ponferrada to SDC. This is my 2nd camino since Spain reopened in 2021. We did the CF from SJPP to SDC last July. My route this time was:

Feb 27 Ponf- VF
Feb 28 VF-OCeb
Mar 1 OCeb-Samos
Mar 2 Samos-PortoM
Mar 3 PortoM-PdR
Mar 4 PdR-Azura
Mar 5 Azura-Lavaco
Mar 6 Lav- SDC

Infrastructure is sleepy this time of year, but most owners of bars etc said they expect much more to reopen compared to last summer w the expectation of large amounts of pilgrims.

No restrictions in the Albergues aside from a mask to enter to check in.
Anyone walking in Galicia before April, when more places open should be advised there are multiple times you’ll go 10-15km w no places open to purchase food / drinks, and as customary, Galicia has proportionally fewer public fountains w potable water than other regions. Very few that I could recall.
Sunday pilgrims mass was bustling, and I stayed in SDC Monday and the moon pilgrims mass swung the Botifumero.

The camino is back!

Where did you stay in Lavacolla? We have twice stayed at a Pazo there, mostly because it was easy to find.
I like staying in Lavacolla, because we can walk into SdC in the morning arriving just before the Pilgrim mass.

I don't know where the original poster stayed.... but I stayed in Albergue Lavocolla in Jul 2021. It was very nice with a large back yard to hang out in and a small grocery store across the street.

I stayed in O Fogar d’ Maru. The host stayed up and had wine with us until late into the night. One of my best places I’ve ever stayed!
