Hi All,

The weather is beautiful and hot. I haven´t been staying at albergues, but I met a Spaniard who was ending his camino because the ¨race for beds¨ was so distasteful for him. He said the albergues were full by about 4 PM. But this is second-hand information.

I´ve blogged about my experience at http://janetscamino2010.blogspot.com

I want to again express my enormous gratitude to Ivar and the veteran posters. So many of the things mentioned on this Forum have made all the difference. Having little things like the flat circular sink stopper so you can do laundry has been great. Good quality trekking poles are essential. I almost came with only a single hand-me down pole. You need TWo and your knees will thank you.

I did 22, 22, and 21 kilometers which took me 11, 10.5 and 11.5 hours respectively. Those are long days of walking. Another indispensible suggestion from someone on this forum: take a break in the middle of the day and soak your feet in cold water. I then applied another coating to Glide to my feet, and put on a clean pair of socks. We are asking a lot of our feet, and they deserve to be pampered.

Buen camino to all
Janet
