One of our favorite daily rituals on the camino is having café con leche with our breakfast and also at one of our rest breaks walking through a town. When my wife and I returned home in late October, I was thinking about creative Xmas presents I could buy for my wife. I pondered whether there are Keurig K cups with cafe con leche flavor. I signed onto Amazon.com and was pleased to find Cafe con Leche offered by "Cafe Bustelo". While it does not taste exactly like the CCL we had in Spain, it is very tasty and we are enjoying it. And this was certainly a surprise for my wife ! Bob

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
For those trying to replicate the cafe con leche experience and who don't have a Keurig machine, apparently the use of uht milk rather than the more generally available fresh milk, makes all the difference.

It helps to relive the experience if you first walk 3km in an early morning daze, preferably uphill.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Your last comment reminded me of our old friend Tamtamplin’s hilarious post. Posting it again so the new folks can read it and the old timers can laugh at it again.

Hoping Tam is doing well.

A simple stove top espresso maker will do nicely. And warm the milk if you want to make it more authentic. Coffee pods are expensive and terrible for the environment, but to each their own.

to add to the Tamtamplin’s Camino Training Programme:

Ask your a family member to randomly switch on the vacuum cleaner next to where you're sleeping, then try to switch it off, because you forgot your earplugs.

Buen Camino

We continue to enjoy Cafe con Leche from our Keurig coffee maker. My wife found another tasty morning hot drink from the same company (Cafe Bustelo): Cafe con Chocolate. Muy bueno ! Bob

Worth posting every so often. 😆😆😃🤪 We humans are interesting. I, for example, love to travel and long to walk on a Camino. I am always wishing we could stay a little longer when it ends. But when I get home, I am happy to see family, play with our pup, sleep later in the morning-and in my own bed, have a private bathroom, use that automatic icemaker, control the heat and air-con, shop in local supermarkets and buy and make green vegetables like Spinach, Escarole, and Broccoli to name a just a few pluses! Then a few weeks later I start planning my next one.....hmmm.

Am I the only one who gets high just being at the airport?

Last year on my camino I was a bit annoyed when someone back home told me to enjoy my vacation. I bristled. Why did that word annoy me so much? I was on a pilgrimage! Anyway, I'm about to embark...
I'm looking for the best app to use whilst walking on the Camino. Usually I just rely on my Apple watch but I'm leaving that at home, so need an app use that I can pause at rest stops etc...
Everyone talks about the wonderful café con leche, but what if tea is more to your liking? Can you even get tea along the Camino (Frances)? I don’t drink coffee but my morning cup of tea is...
Hey all. I haven't been on the forum for quite sometime (years probably). I walked the Camino Frances in 2016 and to say it was life changing for me is an understatement. On day 3, at the café at...
I am just back from a few weeks on the Via the la Plata. Since 2015 I have been nearly every year in Spain walking caminoroutes I loved the café con leches. This year I did not like them as much...
The logical thing for me to do is bring a Kindle, but TBH I like books, and for me leaving electronic gubbins behind while I do the Camino, appeals. I am thinking of taking one book on The...
