Are you arriving by bus/train? If yes, the pilgrims office stays open until the last bus/train has arrived and can advice you regarding empty beds. To be on the sure side, I personally would reserve a place/bed either via booking.com or by choosing a place here http://santiago.forwalk.org/en/trai...garoncesvalles/place/saint-jean-pied-de-port/ make sure to tell them that you are a late arrival. Also finding something to eat so late might be a challenge. Can't you interrupt your journey in Biarritz or similar? That way you could rest, eat and travel the next day to SJPdP, enjoy it and walk on the next day. Buen Camino, SY

Well i could stay overnight at Bayonne but then I would arive at SJPD around 9 30 which is late becasue i want to make it to the Roncesvalles.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
When will you be walking? If it's the first weekend or week of the month, especially September, you may have some trouble finding a bed that late. In that case, you may want to book in advance.

Hotels and hostels stay open late enough to receive those who arrive on the last train of the day, and the Pilgrim's Office will know who still has beds if you haven't booked ahead.
