Latest bus from Airport in Santiago to Sarria

Time of past OR future Camino
Sarria-SC ('08) C.Frances ('11/'12) C.Norte ('13/'17) C.Portugues & Kerry C.('18)
Hi everyone!

My friend is starring her Camino from Sarria tomorrow. Her walking companion had an accident today and can no longer go.

Her flight arrives at 21.05 - she wants to start walking on Tuesday, as she flies home again on Saturday. I cannot seem to find a bus that leaves the airport late on Monday evening.

Alternatively - is there anyone she can share a taxi with? Thanks!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Yes, as falcon says, the last bus to Lugo is 8pm. The only option is a taxi, otherwise she could find a cheap hotel near the airport and catch the bus to Lugo at 7am. Once in Lugo, she would have to catch another bus or train to Sarria (it's only half an hour away).
You can find the bus schedule here: http://www.empresafreire.com/html/castelan/seccion3a.php

No other options, I'm afraid. There is only one bus from that goes SDC to Sarria at 3pm in the afternoon (with the company Monbus), and there are also two afternoon trains, which won't help your friend much. One small thing: when I was checking transport options, it seemed quite a lot was already fully booked. So again, taxi might be the best option, although it will probably be expensive for a 100km+ journey at that time of night.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thank you. I appreciate the replies. I did think there were no buses that late at night, but it was still worth a try. I also think that a taxi would be the best option. Hopefully there might be someone who can share a taxi from the airport. Worse case scenario it will be a taxi for one now!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
