Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the very helpful information that you have all posted. We are planning to start the Le Puy at the first September and continue on El Norte to Santiago. Every day looks bleaker as far as the Covid situation in France and Spain. We need to make a decision to cancel or go. Does anyone have a crystal ball or any pertinent information on the state of available accommodations or other services that would be obstacles to our trip? Has anyone been able to obtain a health pass/register in the system through a pharmacy or medical facility? Thank you in advance.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I really want to know this too. Planning to start near Geneva in late August, don't want to get there and for the gites or campgrounds to be closed.

To get the French Pass Sanitaire, check the website www.franceintheus.org. We plan to go Sept. 6, and I think everything will remain uncertain, even if we manage to go. You need to keep apprised via news, and other means of what’s happening. The fewer borders you need to cross, the less you need to know, because every country can be different.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Beamish,

I cannot answer your questions, but I got very excited reading about your plan to do the Via Podiensis and the El Norte. That's what I also would like to do once we are allowed to travel from Australia. I wonder whether you have a daily schedule that you would be happy to share with me.

Cheers,
Laszlo

Hard to answer...we have delayed our plans twice and we are now scheduled (in our heads) to start walking April 2022 Geneva to Le Puys , Le Puys to SJPP.
Just a lot to navigate from Canada so we're hoping things are a little more settled next year and the Delta Variant is under control.
The walk will still be there despite all these delays.
Buen Camino

We commenced walking the Via Podiensis on Saturday 13th April 2024. We are from Australia and find it easier to bring our stuff for the Camino in a suitcase, as we have extra clothes for before...
A special thank you to Dave Whitson for his shortcuts on the GR 65. We had a beautiful day walking by the river Lot into Cahors instead of the regular route. It takes a lot of work to create...
