Le Puy to Conques in October

Hi, I'm thinking about walking this route beginning around October 7. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of weather I might encounter? Also, will it be difficult to find a bed each day along the way? Thanks very much!

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.

That would be about ten days of walking. Be advised there is a mid-term school holiday starting mid-October. This means that local buses running primarily to take the kids to/from school, won't be running. Also some gite owners will take time off to spend time with the kids, especially if they have no bookings. So plan your bookings at least one day, if not two, in advance.
Weatherwise, this is shoulder season at a bit of elevation, so the nights will be cool, and raingear is a must. Bon chemin!
