Well our bags are packed and we are ready to go! :D

We did very well on pack weight with my daughter at 6kg and me around 8kg (not including food or water).

Just closing up shop on the last final details.

I do want to thank everyone that has helped us by providing advice, wisdom, feedback, and encouragement. I can only hope that our Camino is half the experience that everyone else seems to have had.

We will try to give some "Live" updates, but check our blog for our current status.

See you in three weeks!!

Congrats on getting the weight down. It will really help you so much. I loved the bit your daughter wrote on the blog about your compulsion with the weight--drawing lines on deodorant bottle to measure the use, etc. I carried about 7 kg.(with water) and I would not have wanted any more so I think you and your daughter are well prepared. You will have such an amazing experience. Your daughter is fortunate to have such an adventurous dad! Have a wonderful Camino.

Leon and its beautiful cathedral.

It is a nice town but leaving hotel de Paris early in the morning, pitch dark and getting out through the waking suburbs was not so pleasant, However when the sun started shining we were already in the fields, a more serene environment.

I envy you a bit and wish you a "buen camino"
