Walking in smoke and haze can be very dangerous. Be careful. Take it from someone who has lived in a serious forest fire zone. One year the smoke was so bad for many weeks My family doctor called all the parents of children to keep our kids indoors until the smoke cleared. My kids were about 6 and 9 at the time. One day I went out to pick up some golf clubs that I had worked on by the local pro at the municipal golf course. From the front window of the small clubhouse to the first tee was about 20 meters and you could not see the first tee through the smoke and haze. It was pretty dumb for me to do that. Unlike those poor folks across Europe we had air conditioning. We kept the windows shut and used our A/C. I was changing the filters to my A/C about every 4 days as they were clogged with dirt and soot and dust.
