Hi Everyone. Walking the Camino in September from Leon to Santiago De Compostela for the first time. Flying to Santiago De Compostela. No plans after that. Travelling alone. 60 and recently retired. Any tips or advice greatly appreciated. Looking forward to it but a little apprehensive!!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Leon is a good starting point. The terrain is not too challenging, so it will help you get into shape. Have a great time. Buen camino.

Welcome Damo, being apprehensive is normal, that will go as soon as you start walking. September is a nice time to walk, shouldn't be too hot. Enjoy it all.

Probably my favourite part of the Camino, despite ever increasing numbers. Take it easy
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello and welcome, it's a great walk from Leon. There only 2" bumps " , the walks up to the Cruz de Fierro and to O'Cebreiro. You will enjoy it, wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.
