Tomorrow (13th) my Camino begins! I shall spend today exploring Le-Puy after a long 37 hours travelling time from my home on the Gold Coast Australia. I'm a woman travelling solo with virtually no French so I'm sure thus will be an adventure and a huge personal journey.

How far do you plan walking? All the way to Santiago de Compostela?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Pick up apocket-sized French phrasebook if you haven't already. And an Aussie flag for your pack. And take it easy those first few days. You'll make memories to last a lifetime!

Bon chemin!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I wish you well it's a beautiful walk, I completed it from mid May arriving Santiago 25th July. I'm a single female from Sydney, very little French and walked alone but never felt lonely and enjoyed marvelous company. Burn Camino

Gerard

Hi Gerard,

I will be doing the same route in April and May this year and have planned to complete the route in 40 days that includes 3 rest days along the way. Our average kilometres per day is approximately 20km (max will be 32 towards the end but we should be fit by that stage of the walk),

Good luck and enjoy your journey.

Regards

Ralph

Grettings from Jerusalem and Bon Marche! Hope you brought your longjohns crossing the Aubrac plateau is freezing even in the Spring! When you get to Cahors do stay with Serge at Le Relais des Jacobins - don't even consider someplace else and please give him my regards-he hasn't had many pilgrimns from Jerusalem.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Dan,

looks like quite a few Aussies tackling the Camino in late April, plus one American from Minneapolis who is teaming up with us - might get a bit crowd. Bring the Aussie flag!!!

Hope to see you in late April.
