Just a heads up for those traveling to/from/through Lisbon this summer: the Catholic Youth Day is scheduled for July 30-August 8, 2023 there. Expect hundreds of thousands of youths there that week plus travel to get a bit packed pre and post. Additionally, hostels may not be available in Lisbon and the surrounding areas.

2016 Sjpp to Sdc. 2018 Lisbon to Sdc to Finisterre. Next up hopefully VDP or Del Norte.

I would imagine a reasonable percentage of those people will also be either visiting or making a pilgrimage to Fatima as well during that time.
