List of refugios

Hi, does anyone have/ know where I can get an up to date list of refugios along the camino frances? I'll be travelling in late September/ early October. Also can anyone recommend a place to stay in St Jean Pied de Port? Thanks!

The pilgrims office in st.jean.pied de port offers a list of all albergues when you check in.

I would add to your list this sweet refugio in Lorca, called JoseRamon albergue de Lorca. Small and friendly guy...we are eating all together with a few of us cooking. 7€, a bocadillo with a beer o vino 3€. Washer, free Internet, small rooms accomodating either 1 bed, 2 beds or 4 persons in bunks. Clean as anything I´ve seen.

I visited yesterday this refugio in Lorca. It's true, very friendly and nice.

About the list of refugios, in my opinion is not important to decide where to sleep every night before beginning to walk in the morning. Most refugios are opened in this months and you always can ask to all hospitaleros for next refugios. They always know everything about it.

At that time of year it is a pleasure to walk and once tired or if you enter a nice and pleasing village to you, stop and spend the night there. Albergues are visible, well marked and you decide where you want to stop.

Let your heart guide you and do not be afraid to find accomodation; there are lots of places to stay in September; forget these horror stories in July and August.
