We are on the Camino near and outside the city of Burgos and in that province. We are slow walkers spending 15 days stopping for a few in Pamplona. We have had rain, wind and all but nothing to prevent us from walking. Today the weather forecast thunderstorms: this am was beautiful sunny, light wind, turning to driving rain wind and pretty cool. We had made a choice to stay in Villafranca Monte de Oca. We got in our rural casa and the bottom dropped out of sky flooding the streets for a few minutes.
I say learn to enjoy walking in the rain, slow down, know you will Get to your destination. It's spring, rain feeds all, yes it's wet clothes at times, wet shoes, socks, etc. it all drys out, and makes that shower that much better at day's end.
