Hello to all the pilgrims who participate to this forum.
We are a group of Italian and foreign pilgrims who are running a restaurant and albergue in Sarria (Galicia) about 100 km from Santiago de Compostela.
Our dream is to maintain intact the spirit of the way and provide to the pilgrim the best of what we can give at an affordable price.
For this we propose a typical Italian home made food to the pilgrims from around the world.
From 2014 you can also stay in our albergue, we have 30 places in the dorm, 3 private double rooms and one room equipped for disabled. Since we believe that the way has to be lived day by day, we do not accept reservations, but we stick to an old rule of the way: to give first place to those who go walking, then to those who go cycling and then to those who go horse riding.
For the few who are on their way now, you can visit us until January 6th, then we’ll be closed until March 20th but do not hesitate to contact us throughout the winter if you want to stop in our modest pension “Matias Rooms”Guesthouse Matias Rooms, Sarria, Spain - Booking.com
For all those who are thinking to do the camino in the coming months, we leave our contacts:
